My Areas of Expertise
Male Health
Low Sperm Count
  • Low sperm count means that the fluid (semen) ejaculated during an orgasm contains a lower amount of sperm than normal.
  • A low sperm count is also known as oligospermia .
  • Having a low sperm count reduces the odds that one of your sperm will fertilise your partner's egg, leading to pregnancy.
  • However, many men with low sperm count are still able to father a child, with appropriate medical help

Low Sperm Motility
  • Sperm motility is the ability of sperm to move in an efficient manner.
  • This is important in fertility because sperm needs to move through the woman’s reproductive tract to reach and fertilise her egg.
  • Poor sperm motility often contributes to male infertility.

Erectile Dysfunction (Impotence)
  • Erectile dysfunction (impotence) is when a male is unable to keep an erection firm enough for sex.
  • Trouble getting and maintaining an erection
  • Reduced sexual desire resulting from the above

Premature Ejaculation
  • Premature ejaculation occurs in men when semen leaves the body (ejaculate) way sooner than usual during sex.
  • Premature ejaculation is a common sexual complaint.
  • As many as 1 out of 3 people say they have faced it at some time.
  • Always or nearly always ejaculate within 1 to 3 minutes of penetration
  • Are not able to delay ejaculation during sex all or nearly all the time
  • It causes mental distress and frustration, and people suffering from it tend to avoid sexual intimacy as a result

Azoospermia
  • Azoospermia is the medical term used when there is no sperm in the ejaculate.
  • It can be due to an “obstruction,” where a blockage may prevent sperm from entering the ejaculate, or it can be “nonobstructive” due to the testis’ inability to produce the required amount of sperm

Psychosexual counselling
  • There can be various reasons for sexual difficulties and psychosexual therapy helps a lot in identifying them.
  • The various causes for sexual difficulties and origins may be
  • psychological (depression, anxiety or other mental health conditions)
  • physical (illness, disability/chronic illness, surgery, accident or medications)
  • emotional (unresolved grief, unhappiness in the relationship)
  • situational (certain situations or environments)
Urology
UTI
  • A urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection within the urinary system.
  • The urinary system consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra.
  • Most infections occur within the lower urinary tract — the bladder and the urethra.

Kidney Stone
  • Kidney stones (also referred to as renal calculi, nephrolithiasis or urolithiasis) are hard deposits of minerals and salts that end up forming inside an individual’s kidneys.
  • Protein Heavy Diet, excess body weight, some medical conditions, and certain supplements and medications are among the many causes of kidney stones.
  • Kidney stones can affect any part of the urinary tract from the kidneys to the bladder.

Benign Prostate Hyperplasia
  • Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) — which is also known as prostate gland enlargement — is a common age related condition among older men..
  • An enlarged prostate gland can cause discomforting urinary symptoms, such as blockage in the flow of urine out of the bladder.
  • It can also affect the bladder, urinary tract or cause problems in the kidney.
